Project Description

The James Pedas Communication Center gives students hands-on learning opportunities with today’s communication technologies.

Modern spaces for learning with today’s technology. The Center is a place for students to “engage in film, TV, radio, news production and other multimedia-rich experiences preparing them for today’s information society.” (Source.)

It features a media lab, a TV studio, a radio station, technology classrooms, and a lecture hall. It also incorporate new space for the Office of Admissions.

Center achieves LEED-Silver certification. The engineering design supported the project’s LEED goal, incorporating components like LED lighting, water-saving plumbing fixtures, and efficient HVAC systems.
