James T. Cicero, PE, LEED AP

James T. Cicero is passionate about engineering. As President of Karpinski Engineering, he provides strategic vision and leadership, and he connects with clients and design partners. Jim believes in listening and asking questions, because each client has a unique set of values. Under his leadership, Karpinski Engineering’s employees strive to provide comprehensive designs that align with clients’ goals and expectations.

With more than 25 years of electrical engineering experience, Jim is a specialist in design for healthcare facilities. His experience also includes alternative delivery methods and their benefits. He has presented on design-assist and collaboration at regional AIA, COAA, and SMPS events.

Jim is a founding partner and board member of Cogence Alliance, whose goal is to bring together owners, architects, engineers, and contractors to advocate and be a resource for improved project delivery. He also serves on the Board of Directors for ACEC Ohio and is a member of the Cleveland Engineering Society.

Jim earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Akron and his MBA from Cleveland State University.
