Karpinski Engineering Principal appointed to Strongsville Planning Commission
Karpinski Engineering’s Senior Vice President and Director of Engineering Brian David is the newest member of Strongsville’s Planning Commission.
A position opened after long standing Commission member and former Chairman Jeff Ice retired. Brian was selected for the position by Strongsville’s Mayor Thomas Perciak after an interview process was conducted.
Brian was sworn in on April 21 with his wife and two daughters at his side. His term will last through August 2017.
Including Brian, the board consists of seven members: Charlene Barth; Thomas E. Stehman; Mary Jane Walker; Greg McDonald; Scott Maloney, Council Representative; and Mayor Perciak.
The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing the planning of any public building or structure or those located on public streets or property, changes made to streets, parkways, playgrounds and other public places, and the zoning and rezoning of the Municipality. Other duties are preformed based on ordinances of the Council or Ohio law. After reviewing applications, the Commission’s recommendations on planning move on to City Council for approval.
