Karpinski Engineering is an approved geothermal system designer for a New York State rebate program.
The Ground Source Heat Pump Rebate makes $15 million in rebates available for the installation of ground source heat pump systems for businesses, residences, and institutions.
The rebate was established by the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority (NYSERDA).
Ground source heat pump systems, more commonly known as geothermal systems, leverage the earth’s natural properties in order to heat and cool buildings. Geothermal systems are environmentally friendly, reducing dependence on non-renewable fossil fuels.
Geothermal systems can also be an attractive option for buildings in areas that do not have natural gas infrastructure and rely on heating oil or electric resistance heating.
Karpinski Engineering has designed 40+ geothermal systems, serving facilities ranging in size from 4,000 SF to 350,000 SF.
