Joe Hofstetter, PE, CEM, LEED AP, has been promoted to Associate.
Joe is Director of Building Performance and Sustainability (BPS), a department he started in 2014. Joe helps clients get more value out of their building assets through energy and sustainability improvements.
“Clients come to us with their building performance goals, and Joe helps them get there,” said KE President Jim Cicero, PE, LEED AP. “He’s a great listener. He helps clients develop and then implement a plan to achieve their goals.”
Joe began his career at Karpinski Engineering, where he worked on some of the firm’s first LEED projects. He then spent several years with Johnson Controls as a project development engineer for energy-based performance contracting. Joe returned to KE in 2014.
As an associate, he will continue to work closely with the firm’s partners, participating in high-level management and development of the firm’s strategic vision.
Joe earned his Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering Technology from the University of Dayton and his MBA from Baldwin Wallace University. He is a Certified Energy Manager and a LEED Accredited Professional. Joe is a member of the USGBC and ASHRAE. He participates in the ASHRAE National Technical Committee for Building Energy Performance and is a member of the advisory council for Baldwin Wallace University’s Institute for Sustainable Business Practice.
