Mechanical engineer Greg T. Lavriha, PE, has been promoted to Associate at Karpinski Engineering.
Greg has “earned the respect of all the partners,” said Karpinski Engineering President James T. Cicero, announcing the promotion.
At Karpinski Engineering, Associates work closely with the firm’s partners. They participate in high-level management; they are involved with developing and implementing the firm’s strategic vision; and they are leaders in client service.
Principal Ken F. Borah called Greg a “model engineer.” He praised Greg’s consistent willingness to help Karpinski Engineering’s clients, partners, and junior staff members. He described Greg as a “champion” of KEUs – Karpinski Engineering’s in-house continuing education. Ken shared that when Greg coached staff engineers who were taking their professional engineer exams, they had a 100% pass rate.
He “helps everybody do their jobs much, much better, including the partners,” Ken said.
Greg is one of Karpinski Engineering’s leading healthcare design professionals. He has worked for the firm for more than 13 years. Greg serves on the board of the Northern Ohio Society for Healthcare Engineering (NOSHE), and he is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and ASHRAE. He will be serving as a 2015-2017 member of the International Mechanical Code (IMC) Code Development Committee for the International Code Council’s (ICC) Codes and Standards Council.
Greg “reaches out to serve clients,” Ken said. In this business, sincere customer care is one of the most important qualities an engineer can have.
